All devices had the have same EIGRP authentication key chain error, but only some stop working

On a network that uses EIGRP authentication, all of the devices had the same error in the configruation, which was that the accept-lifetime month was incorrect, so the keys did not roll over.  This blocked SSH to most, but weirdly, not all of the devices.  I think some were routers.  The question is, how are some of these devices still working?

what is the difference you see working vs not working ?

any changes in the network ? how is these devices conencted ?
