Any way to connect 2 wire cable pairs from phone company to router?

This is kind of crazy, but is it possible to connect wire pairs between two locations (ordered from local telco) if we only have 2 wires (1 set of cable pairs) rather than 4 wires (2 sets of cable pairs)? If we had 4 wires, we could use T1 WICs but what to do if we have only one pair? I've been playing around with trying to make a crossover cable crossing over only 1 set of wires but that hasn't worked, not too surprising, since T1 WICs are 4-wire. Any ideas appreciated.

Hmm T1's are a fair bit outside my comfort zone.

But I know that some T1/E1 controllers support the following command

line-mode 2-wire line-zero

Perhaps you can check if yours do.

Thank you for your response. This sounded promising. I tried looking into that but those options don't exist with the T1 WIC in there. It looks like you need a DSL WIC to get these configuration options.

There are many products that can work over a single pair. Some made by Cisco, some not.

It really depends on your budget and requisites.
