Area range vs summary-address

Hello everybody,

I'm studying to take the CCNP ROUTE and I have the following question:

what are the differences between ospf area range and summary-address?

I read on this blog: http://ithitman.blogspot.com/2015/04/configuring-ospf-area-range-vs-summary.html

that area range is used for abr between areas and the summary-address is for asbr.for external as

but I'm practicing with vumingo and....

What do you think about it?

A is the right Answer.. that might be a problem with your Exam Practice platform that showing a wrong answer as correct.. Summary address command is used by ASBR to Summarize routes that are external to our AS and it will generate Type 5 Lsa.. on the other hand Area command is used on ABR to summarize routes when the ABR about to generate type 3 LSA that will travel trough the areas..
