Hello,
i have a question
why bgp isnt supported on 5510-5520-5540 asa appliances?
Because of hardware performance? Cause bgp is supported on 5505.
Why we cant have any bgp support on these devices and we must change to new ones?
I cant understand this...
how a 5505 with amd processor and 512mb max ram can handle bgp and a celeron or p4 with 2gb ram or more cannot?
Thanks,
An unhappy customer.

OS version 9.2(1) is the first ASA OS where BGP support has been added, but unfortunately ASA 5510, ASA 5520, ASA 5540, ASA 5550, and ASA 5580 are not supported in this release or later. ASA Version 9.1 was the final release for these models.

Yeah i know that but how is it possible a 5505 run bgp routing and a 5510 or better cannot?
thats my question but i think cisco has the same sales policy with apple as far as pushing to the market their new models...
too bad
its not simple for a company to drop 2500euros for the cheapest asa with the base licence because cisco sales want to push the new asa series..
they would think again to buy cisco products..
hope someday they will add bgp support... (and then i woke up..)
