ASR 1000 Boot variable does not exit when doing reload

Hi All,

I'm configuring a cisco ASR 1000 and when I attempt to do reload I get below error :
WARNING:
Boot variable either does not exist or buffer is too small This may impact autoboot of the router. Proceed with caution
Do you want to proceed?[confirm]n

when I do show boot I get the below:

BOOT variable does not exist
CONFIG_FILE variable does not exist
BOOTLDR variable does not exist
Configuration register is 0x2102

Standby not ready to show bootvar

I haven't restarted the router out of caution. Would appreciate any thoughts on how to deal with this.

check from prompt

#dir bootflash:

you will see .bin file example ( asr1000-universalk9.XX.XX.XX.SPA.bin)

note that file name and config as below :

config t

!

boot system flash bootflash:/asr1000-universalk9.XX.xx.xx.SPA.bin

!

end

then check show boot you see the boot information (if all ok)

write the config and reload

I am having this same error. When I followed same resolution steps. It has not helped.

Can you please guide me ? where i am doing wrong. thanks
