Hi,
I'm trying to add 2 SFP modules to my ASR 1001. There are Cisco SFP GLC-LH-SMD. In Cisco compatibility matrix this SFP are supported by ASR 1000 series but when i'm connecting one I've got following message in logs:
*Oct 29 06:09:49.108: %TRANSCEIVER-6-INSERTED: SIP0/0: transceiver module inserted in GigabitEthernet0/0/0
*Oct 29 06:09:51.910: %SMC-2-BAD_ID_HW: SIP0/0: Failed Identification Test in 0/0/0 [1/0]
*Oct 29 06:09:51.919: %TRANSCEIVER-3-NOT_SUPPORTED: SIP0/0: Detected for transceiver module in GigabitEthernet0/0/0, module disabled
*Oct 29 06:12:35.839: %TRANSCEIVER-3-NOT_SUPPORTED: SIP0/0: Detected for transceiver module in GigabitEthernet0/0/0, module disabled
My IOS version is 03.07.01.S (asr1001-universal.03.07.01.S.152-4.S1.bin)
I dont understand why ASR disable my SFP....
Thank you in advance.
Mathieu.

Hello Mathieu
Could you please share the following outputs:
- show facility-alarm status
- show hw-module subslot 0/0 trans 0 idprom detail
Also, could you please try configuring "service unsupported-transceiver" and see if that helps resolve the problem.
Regards

Hello Mathieu
Could you please perform a reload or upgrade the router to 15.3(3)S1 or later image and see if that helps.
this could also be due to a software defect (suspecting CSCuj96241) but i think it will be confirmed after one of the above actions.
Regards
Vinit
