Back to back connection of FE or GE ports of same switch

I want to connect 2 ports of same switch back to back, but getting error like "the cable cannot be connected to that port"

how to make the above connection, connection via hub is also not working. I basically need Switch1-------Switch2---Loop (loop between ports in switch 2)

what is the use case to connect back to back in same switch, this create Layer 2 loop.

but you can configured Layer 3 interface and connect (if that works for you).

you mean to say that ports are not coming up ? or going blocking or error disable ?

i want to check if a BPDU message from Switch1 goes to switch2(STP is disabled) and looped and comes back to switch1 and see what happens in the switch1?
