In 720x series router, we are having bandwidth point concept which controls the type of interface inserted into the router slots. In our network when we inserted an interface in the odd slot which increased the Bandwidth points beyond the advisable level, but after that also the router was working. Is the Bandwidth point concept only a warning or exceedin it will have any impact to the running router?

It will, the recommendation is in place to protect yourself from unsupported configurations, and present a serviceable system in case you need to resort to the TAC for any reason.

Although the system will continue to operate if the bandwidth limits are exceeded, you should not expect to get the full performance from interfaces that exceed the limit.
