bgp fast-external-fallover - enabled or disabled?

bgp fast-external-fallover is supposed to be enabled on Cisco IOS by default.

If in the config you do not see "bgp fast-external-fallover" under router bgp 12345 does that mean it is enabled?

Router is running12.4(12)

Yes it is enabled by default and hence doesn't appear in config. Only time you would need to enable it is if it has already been disabled ie.

router bgp 65121

no bgp fast-external-failover
