Hello Everyone,
Please see the attached diagram, I am tasked with changing the Interface loopback 0 IP which is currently used for bgp router id and ibgp neighborship with the interface loopback 1.
Below is my plan, let me know if I am missing anything.
1.Configure Interface loopback 1 on both R1 and R2.
2.On R1, Ping R2 loopback with source interface of loopback 1 and vice versa
3.Create new iBGP neighborship with loopback 1 IP on R1 and R2.
4.Make sure the neighborship is formed and routes are exchanged.
5.Delete the old neighbor statement's using the interface loopback 0 IP.
6.Change the BGP router-id with loopback 1 IP, which will reset the BGP neighborship.
