Hi,

How do the numbers 222 and 210 come together from the command "set as-path prepend 222 210"?
Can someone help? I don't understand. I've already read this in the book.

Thank you.

Not sure what book you reading, what is 222 and 210 in your example (as per the command you mentioned those are AS numbers to prepend)

check KM path prepending :

How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

The as-path prepend can add any AS not need these two AS.

But cisco recommends you prepend your AS otherwise some prefix can be installed' due to loop prevent.
