Is this the same as ROMMON mode?  I can't find too much out there on brom> mode.

Nope.  This process happens before ROMmon.

This means your appliance is dead.  You may need to contact Cisco TAC and arrange for a replacement.

Hi All,

One of my customer is facing the same issue.

Any one having a solution to boot into rommon mode or normal mode from brom mode?

Hi,

Disconnect power cable from ur switch then remove power module from the switch for 2-3 minutes. Reconnect then see.
