Hei,
I have a Cisco 2611XM with RomMon 12.2(8r). Now I want to upgrade this router to 48MB Flash (32 MB Flash is still installed). I opened the case, but I see no further Flash-Slot to insert additional Flash. Who can help me ?
SN: JHY0825K285
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Sascha.

Hi,
There is one system-code (flash memory) SIMM socket on the system board.
Please review the following document:

Mohammed, thanks for your fast reply.
You provided a link, but it doesn't help me. There is one Flash-Port, but only Flash-Upgrades 16 or 32 MB are available.
So, there is one slot: I will be able to get a 16MB or 32 MB memory stick..... how will i get 48 MB at all ??
Thanks in advance !
regards Sascha

Hi,
I'm not sure right now, but there may are 16MB of flash onboard.

There is only one slot, and 48 MB SIMM is not available as a spare.
What you are looking for is called "Cisco 2600 Series Factory Flash Memory Upgrades".
Search for product code "MEM2600XM-32U48FS". List price is around 500$.

Now that I check better, indeed the 2600XM have 16MB flash soldered on board. So 48MB is made with one 32MB additional module.
And thanks to the leading auction site it can be found for a very cheap price!

Hi,
I've checked and totally agree with Paolo, adding a 32M additional SIMM (to the only SIMM slot) plus the built-in 16M gives you the total of 48M.
