Can not ping the remote router interface ip?

Hello Everyone,

I can ping the provider gateway(xxx.xxx.xxx.9) at remote side but not the interface ip(xxx.xxx.xxx.10) of our remote router from HQ.

My PC---------HQ router--------------Gre tunnel----------Firewall------Remote Router-------Provider

Tunnel is up up but not working...

we have 2 provider at remote site........1 provider is working perfectly but not the otherone.

output shoes that this interface is working .....then y am not able to ping????

or something i am missing in config?

Hi,

Provided you have no other ACL configured inbound on this interface

can you  create an ACL like this on .10  then ping from .9 and issue sh access-list icmp-count

ip access-list extended icmp-count

permit icmp any any

permit ip any any

int f0/1

ip access-group icmp-count in

Otherwise you can do debug ip icmp on .10  or even configure a MQC policy with a class-map for icmp

All these to verify you receive on this interface then you must verify on .9 that you get the replies
