Cant trace route by one interface out of 2 ebgp interface from single Cisco router

i have a scenario where i have one cisco router and 2 ISP (A and B for example) connected by 2 eBGP . So when i do show ip bgp , i get *> from ISP A and * from ISP B now when i do traceroute to a reachable ip taking source the interface of ISP B the results not come and all i see is * * * , but when i do traceroute by taking source the ISP A router interface then the traceroute results come . So my question is why i can't get traceroute out put from other interface by making as source .

Hello

Looking in the bgp table can show you multipaths entries to the same prefix but by default  only the best bgp preferred route will be entered in the route table and by the sounds of it ISP A is your preferred wan interface for this prefix.

*> Valid entry and preferred best path
*  Valid entry

Sounds like ISP B interface isnt known for traceroute to reply.

Are you advertising your connected interfaces in bgp?
