Cant use the redistribute static command in bgp?

Hi,

Just a quick one..

Im trying to redistribute static routes into bgp. but the "redistribute" command has vanished?

Its been a while for me, but i swear it used to be there..

ie:

router bgp 1111
redistribute static
exit

The redistribute command is not there.

This is what is available..
Am i losing my mind?

Router configuration commands:
  address-family        Enter Address Family command mode
  bgp                   BGP specific commands
  default               Set a command to its defaults
  exit                  Exit from routing protocol configuration mode
  help                  Description of the interactive help system
  neighbor              Specify a neighbor router
  no                    Negate a command or set its defaults
  route-server-context  Enter route server context command mode
  scope                 Enter scope command mode
  snmp                  Modify snmp parameters
  template              Enter template command mode
  timers                Adjust routing timers

Don't you need to go into the address-family first?  Have you recently updated to use address families?

Hi Guys,

yeah IOS 15 being used here ( Im used to 12 )

Anyway, Kevin seems to of got it. Looks like it goes in the ipv4/6 af's now.

As I said, Its been a while :)

Hi,

Are you not able to see redistribute command under router bgp? If this is the case what router and IOS version are you running?

- have you started seeing this after any specific change done on the device?
