I am getting ready to upgrade our companies wifi to the new Meraki APs but need to see if PoE is configured on our 3560G switch, but no one seems to know the correct password. We tried following the password reset instructions found here, but when we get to step 8 to reboot the switch, it never prompts us to initial the configuration dialog. Is there something I'm overlooking? We are using the default terminal connection settings and are using putty to terminal into the switch.

It starts up as normal and then displays the status of all the ports down/up.
I let it set overnight and opened a new terminal window, and now it seems it's going to let me continue with the password change. I'll post an update, tomorrow when I go back in to work.

I was finally able to reset the passwords, and can now log into my switch via putty. But what we were try to accomplish was to reset the password for the web console. Is anyone aware of a procedure to reset the web console password, or set it back to default?

Do you mean the HTTP interface of the switch?
This is controlled by the commands "ip http..." commands. For example if it is set to "ip http authentication local" then you can login with a username and password configured on the switch (with the "username <name> password <password> command).

Yes. I ended getting the HTTP interface password changed by going into config mode, then issuing "ip http authentication local" then I had to use "username <name> privilege 15 password <password> ". Thank you for push in the right direction.
