Hi Community,

I came across this weird issue where my Catalyst 9500-16X is having intermittent connection to an interface VLAN of its own. The setup is VRRP with a Catalyst 4500-16X switch. The switch was working normal before and I am not sure when this issue started. The issue is same for all of the interface VLANs.

                 - Look at the (error) counters of the involved physical interfaces.

For some reason, the issue disappeared without any changes. This looks really weird. Anyways, thank you for all of your efforts.

first ping with at least repeat  100,
check the pattern, if the drop is fix pattern then this is CoPP that protect your SW from DDoS,
it normal.

Hi @MHM Cisco World,

Thank you for your inputs. Is CoPP enabled by default with policies?

The issue is here again, and this is what the 100 ping looks like.

CORE_SW1#ping 192.168.50.21 re 100
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 100, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 192.168.50.21, timeout is 2 seconds:
.......!!.............!.!.!........!............!.!.!.!...!.!.!.......
.....!.!.!...!.!............!!
Success rate is 20 percent (20/100), round-trip min/avg/max = 1/1/1 ms

show processes cpu sort | ex 0.00

can check the CPU ?
