Catalysts, CoS and DSCP

hi)))

I have read that if Cisco catalyst process packets from untrusted port, it translates CoS value to DSCP value according to default mapping map. Does this mean that all incomming packets with DSCP set will get default value of CoS according to analogous DSCP - CoS map?

Hello
With dscp rewrite disabled, If you mark on dscp and dont trust on the interface, The dscp value with be kept, however is you trust on cos it will refer to the default mls qos dscp-cos map.

With dscp rewrite enabled - dscp/cos will be marked down to 0 unless trusted
