I am looking to put together a home lab to study for the CCNP R&S exam. I would like to hear your suggestions for which routers and switches I should have in my home lab. If you will, I would like two recomendations, 1 bare bones kit and 1 ultimate lab kit. Please keep in mind on the ultimate kit that it is for the CCNP level and not a CCIE lab.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Everything that relates to routing can be done very good in GNS3 without any physical router. If you don't like virtual infrastructure, the 1841 is a pretty good choice and not too expensive when bought on ebay or so. The more future-proof solution would be a 1900.
For switching you need physical gear. Low budget would be two L3-switches which could be old 3550 and two older 2960. With more budget an actual switch could be used. A good combination could also be the 8-port versions of the 3560 and 2960.
