Gernally speaking, POS should be unchannelized. Anyway, channelized is used with a TDM circuit, that is muxed together a T1, T3 or OC-3 interface there are many point-to-point circuits connecting the remote locations. Telco must provide this service, and it saves the need for an additional mux at customer premises.
