Hello,
I upgrade voice gateway 2621XM from 12.3(8) to 12.3(14)T7
My steps are as follows:
1. I delete old IOS image file
2. I copy new IOS image file
3. reload the voice gateway.
After reloaded, the Voice gateway just goes to ROMMON mode. Power off and turn on,
Same situation.
Then reset the voice gateway. Got the following message:

Friend,
loadprog: bad file magic number: 0x0
boot: cannot load "flash:"
This generally means the IOS file in the flash is corrupted.
try deleting and reloading it again
HTH, rate if it does

thanks for your reply.
Could you guys find out the reasons why the flash is corrupted? Does it happen a lot?
I think it may be happened based on the follwing reason:
1. IOS image file's problem.
(Narayan,is that what you think?
2. Wrong procedure/command.
And, here is what I did after 2621XM IOS upgrading:
1. boot the system with flash:** IOS image file ** in ROMMON mode.
2. the 2621 is up and working.
3. modify the running-config as the following command:
boot system flash:** IOS image file**
4. reload again, 2621 works properly.
I got the following questions:
1. The IOS image file has no problem based on what I did. So I am stilling wondering why 2621 flash is corrupted.
2. Could I remove the follwing configuare?
boot system flash:** IOS image file**
Thank you very much.
