Hi all,
I was just trying to upgrade my first cisco access point at home. I am a bit lost...
a) I can't run "conf t" command.
b) It seems to have ver 3 or ver 4 lwapp image running on it.
c) keeps rebooting itself when it starts up and says "certificate is invalid"
I am attaching some screenshots, if you could have a look when you have a minute and guide me in the right direction then I will be highly grateful to you.
Thanks.

Very funny. Ha ha ha ...
Same song-and-dance. If you've just configured the WLC for GB and you've rebooted the WLC, console into the AP and post the entire bootup process.
PS: Your last console, did NOT have enough information. Leave the console running for another 5 minutes after power up,.

Errrr ... something is very missing from your output.
Your AP is NOT getting an IP Address. And you've possibly got an MSC problem.
06-21-2013 05:44 PM
I assigned a static IP Address to Fa0/0 and still it does that.
Shall I take it off and get the WLC to assign IP Address to AP via dhcp?
Also, sorry, what is MSC?
06-21-2013 06:04 PM
I assigned a static IP Address to Fa0/0 and still it does that.
Post the output to the command "sh ip int brie" from the AP.
Next, from the AP, ping the Management IP Address of the WLC.
06-23-2013 12:49 PM
144AP1#show ip int br
Interface IP-Address OK? Method Status Protocol
FastEthernet0 192.168.1.127 YES other up up
144AP1#ping 192.168.1.240
Type escape sequence to abort.
Sending 5, 100-byte ICMP Echos to 192.168.1.240, timeout is 2 seconds:
!!!!!
Success rate is 100 percent (5/5), round-trip min/avg/max = 1/1/1 ms
I am just wondering, I did check earlier but just want to make sure, are Cisco 1130ag APs compatible with Cisco Virtual Wireless LAN Controller?
06-23-2013 03:55 PM
Post the output when you enter the following command (enable mode and NOT configuration mode): capwap ap controller ip address 10.168.1.240
What is the network topology like? Is there a Firewall sitting between the WLC and the AP?
06-23-2013 05:17 PM
The Cisco 1130ag access points do not support capwap I guess. I have used the command lwapp ap controller ip address 192.168.1.240 but it makes no difference.
There is no firewall between the AP and the WLC. I had a switch connecting the two but now I have connected the AP directly to the WLC and they can ping each other.
I cannot enter configuration mode. It does not recognize the "conf t" command either.

Any ideas ??
06-24-2013 03:35 PM
I assigned a static IP Address to Fa0/0 and still it does that.
This doesn't add up.
HOW did you manage to assign an IP address when an AP boots up?
You cannot save the config when you boot up.
