Cisco 1700 ADSL bandwidth cannot exceed 10mbps

I'm using 16mbps ADSL2+ line. When I use Zyxel ADSL modem itself connect to internet, I can get actual download speed at 16mbps. However if I connect Cisco 1700 bridge with Zyxel ADSL2+ modem. The internet works but I can get actual speed only at about almost 10mbps. Why is that? Is it a limitation of 1700 series router? or it is my configuration?

This is my dialer interface configuration

I don't have a 1700 with a WIC-ADSL card here at home but can your router support the command "sh dsl interface"?

Yes my router support sh dsl interface.

However, in my situation, I don't use WIC-ADSL as modem because WIC-ADSL doesn't support ADSL2+ speed, so I use Zyxel modem connect to fa0/0 of Cisco 1700 as WAN interface. The internet is working but speed is not.

That is normal, 1700 is an old model of limited performances.

if you want full speed, get an 857, 877, or newer models.
