Hello,
I just got a 1841 Router in order to bond 3 T-1 lines (all of the cards are already setup). My problem is I can't get through the setup to configure the router. I've tried connecting my network cable to the back of the router and non of the lights turn on. They only turn on when I connect a switch to the router. When I try to connect to the router through the switch, I can't seem to connect.
I'm pretty new to all of this (if couldn't tell already) and I want to try to get this setup myself.

If you are connecting your PC directly to the Ethernet interface of the 1841 you probably need a crossover cable rather than a straighthroug cable.
To do the initial config you will need to connect your PC serial port to the console port of the 1841 router using a console cable (the cable that comes in Cisco kit is generally a light blue cable). A router that has not yet been configured will have no IP address on any of its interfaces and connecting your PC to Ethernet will not allow you to connect until the router has IP addresses assigned (and the interfaces no shut).
