I have a couple 2811 routers, one in storage, one in production. I'll be removing the wic from the storage unit to the production router. Shouldn't the router automatically 'pick-up' the new card?
wic == 1DSU-T1 v2
IOS 12.4(23b)

Hi Christopher,
Yes your router should see tye card BUT - the 2811 does not support on line module insertion.
So make sure you power down 1st.

Alex

Hi Chris,
No, online insertion and removal (OIR) of modules(NME or HWIC slots) is not supported on the Cisco 2800 Series.
Hope this helps.
