Hello,
I am new here so thanks in advance for any help.
I recently purchased a 2921 to replace an aging router.
We will using this router specifically for T1 data connections only.
I am maxing this router out with T1 WIC CSU/DSU cards.
I have 4- VWIC3-4MFT-T1/E1 - 4-Port RJ-48 Multiflex Trunk cards installed.
The router see's these just fine and I have no issues enabling these interfaces.
My issue is that I am using the SM expansion bay to get another 4-T1 WIC ports.
This would give me a total of 20 T1 ports.
I have installed a SM-NM-ADPTR first whch the router appears to see.
I then installed a NM-HD-2VE module to allow me to install 2- VWIC2-2MFT-T1/E1 cards.
The 2900 does not seem to recognize or like the NM-HD-2VE adapter.
When I do a "show inventory" on the router I get this...
NAME: "Network Module Adapter for SM Slot on Slot 1", DESCR: "Network Module Adapter for SM Slot"
PID: SM-NM-ADPTR , VID: V01, SN: FOC172800E5
NAME: "Unknown on Slot 1", DESCR: "Unknown"
PID: NM-HD-2VE , VID: V01 , SN: FOC172052VJ
I have googled everything I can to try to figure out why the router doesn't like the NM-HD-2VE.
I have read so many Cisco support documents and the modules appear compatible and my OS ver 15.2(4)M3 seems OK.
What am I missing?
Is there a command I need to use?
Help me...
Thanks!

Maybe you have the wrong license on the router?
Can you post the output to the command "sh license"? You should have "uc" or "uck9" feature set.

I believe you are right.
Since the NM-HD-2VE is a voice product, It appears I need a UC license.
It sucks cause we need that particular adapter card for the extra T1 CSU/DSU cards and have no need for voice services.
