Hi,
We need to upgrade the RAM on our 3825 Cisco Router.
Currently, it's 512MB and we want to upgrade it to 1GB.
So do I just order another 512MB DRAM Memory?
What is the part number that I need to order?
Here is the show ver:

Hi,
Cisco 3825 has to DRAM slots. The two DIMM slots can be upgraded with 128-MB, 256-MB, or 512-MB DIMMs to a maximum of 1024 MB. If only one SDRAM DIMM is used, it can be installed in either DIMM connector.
So if you have 1*512Mb installed, you can buy additional MEM3800-512D to have 1024.
But if you have 2*256Mb, you would need to replace them with 2*MEM3800-512D.
Here is how to find location of the memry modules to check what you have currently installed and to upgrade/replace them:

Ivan Shirshin
