Cisco 4503 Sup 8L-E right to use license.

If I envoke the right to use Enterprise license option on a new Sup 8L-E and apply for a permanent license via a PAK that was purchased at the same time - do I actually need to install the newly supplied license via the PAK process or can this be kept seperately as proof of purchasing an enterprise license ?

If you invoke it without applying the permanent PAK, you most likely see the license installed as not permanent. If this is the case, you would need to install the permanent license.

I now have a permanent enterprise license to be installed in flash and to envoke using the appropriate "license install bootflash:xxxxxxxx.lic" command, would I need to reboot/reload the switch to apply the permanent license, noting it is already running the right-to-use enterprise option ?
