Cisco 6509 on GNS3

Hi All,

Please I will like to know which of the Router IOS has functionality similar to the Cisco Catalyst 6509. I am setting up a test environment at work using GNS3 routers.

Hello Raheem,

a C6509 is a multilayer switch that works in hardware using dedidated ASIC chips.

You cannot emulate it in GNS3.

Using a router with an etherswitch network module would allow you to use SVI interfaces on the emulated node, but all other aspects like C6500 QoS will not be covered.
