Hi
I have deleted my flash on a cisco 877 and my power went off as I was trying to download new image. My router don't boot at all now. It is on rommon 1 at the moment. What do I need to do, how can I update it from rommon mode?
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Lawrence,
Don't bring any network device back to home. You won't get enough sleep. (grin) Okay let's go to the point.
Your PC ip address is 10.1.1.1/24
Router will be configure ip address as 10.1.1.2/24
- Let's put the image into your pc. I mean, you have to put it into the path that TFTP server can pick it.
- Do you have a TFTP program on your pc? Let's install real quick.
- Open the TFTP server program.
- Plug the router and PC with the cross cable. I mean, A FastEthernet on the router.
At the router
rommon 1 > IP_ADDRESS=10.1.1.2
rommon 2 > IP_SUBNET_MASK=255.255.255.0
rommon 3 > DEFAULT_GATEWAY=10.1.1.254
rommon 4 > TFTP_SERVER=10.1.1.1
rommon 5 > TFTP_FILE=Put the exact ios name
rommon 6 > tftpdnld
Don't forget to read the link I provided as well.

This is a more specific guide for the 870 series. The 'Disaster Recovery with TFTP Download' section reiterates some of the information already posted.

In case you are in rommon mode. Are you missing the image as well? If so, please check this link out.
Just try to get a new image via tftp.
