Cisco 887 VA - Will it support after NBN Upgrade with - SOS and ROC

Hi All,

I am wondering after these changes or upgrade from NBN will the Cisco 887 router will keep continue working or not.

As you may have already heard, NBN will introduce two new functions to Fibre to the Node (FTTN) and Fibre to the Building (FTTB) services called Save Our Showtime (SOS) and Robust Overhead Channel (ROC). These new functions are designed to improve the stability of your connection and help prevent dropouts.

Once the upgrade comes into effect, you may no longer be able to use your current modem if it is not compatible with the planned upgrades, or you may see your service degrade and speeds slow.

We recommend that you give yourself plenty of time, before the upgrade kicks in, to check your modem compatibility and minimise any potential downtime that may come with having an incompatible device.

NBN have also created a page with more info and FAQs - https://www.nbnco.com.au/learn/device-compatibility/vdsl2-modems

Hello.

are you in Australia ? NBM/ROC/SOS has been supported on the 880 series since firmware A2pv6C039t. Check the link to the release notes below:
