Hi all,
I was given a Cisco AIr-LAP1142N-A-K9, and i am trying to set it up to extend my wifi coverage. The main router is a Netgear. I have no idea how to
setup the Cisco Access Point to work with the netgear router. I have tried looking thru documents but they haven't really been much help. I need the help of someone who can help me step by step to set it up. Thank you.

You can connect the Cisco to a LAN port on your Netgear then configure it with the same wireless setting as the Netgear (SSID and PSK etc). So when your users move closer to the Cisco they will move onto it without the need to re-configure the client device.
The config guide can be found here:
Obviously you will need either a power supply or PoE switch/injector to get it to power up.
Having said all that I think the Cisco AP's are a pain to configure and given the price of access points these days I would just go out and buy another Netgear or similar if you want to extend your coverage.
Hope that helps!

After writing I just thought maybe you were thinking about setting the AP up in repeater mode?
However I'm not sure this would work with you trying to mix Cisco with Netgear!
