Cisco IOS is 32-bit OS?

Hi,

I am just being too curious here

Looking at the outputs of the some commands like show memory, show region, show buffers etc on many different router models I could make out that IOS is using all 32-bit memory addresses.

So can we say Cisco IOS is always a 32-bit OS? or anybody has seen 16-bit or 64-bit memory addresses in use on IOS?

Thanks in advance

Yes, it is. Normal networking doesn't need 64bits.
