While trying to configure
lisp on cisco c8000 iosxe 17.9.4
it doesnt accepts the command
router lisp
while lower versions of ios xe like 17.3 accepts.

Hi @prohit ,
This is not an issue with the
version 17.9.4
as it was mentioned earlier by @marce1000 this is an issue due to a missing license.
If you can see I have a
cat8K
with the same software
version 17.9.4
and with the "network advantage" license and I can enable
router lisp
Once the network advantage license is removed from the device,
router lisp
is not available anymore:
Try using the command
license boot level network-advantage
save the configuration and reload the router in order to enable that feature:

2 different devices, csr with 17.3 version which accepts
router lisp
commands and
c8000v 17.9.4
version which is not taking
router lisp
commnd

- Make sure they are on the same licensing levels ; LISP configuration requires the
datak9
license.

Hi Marco,
The below is screen shot of the cisco
csr iosxe 17.3
which is able to run the command without licence.
whereas
iosxe 17.9
is not accepting the command:

In Cisco
IOS XE 17.9.4 the router lisp
command might not be available or supported. Please refer to the specific documentation for this version or contact Cisco support for guidance on configuring LISP as command availability and syntax can vary between software versions.
