i follow most of the time works for me :

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/access/4400/troubleshooting/guide/isr4400trbl/isr4400trbl02.html

when you are in #you can copy the config show run (to notepad) and save out of box, also make sure you make regular backup to avoid loosing the woprking config.

This is not working for me. I can try all day long and it will always boot to username: .

I entered rommon>1 and typed confreg 0x2142 and reset. The router reset and booted all the way to username: time after time.

I then tried https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/access/4400/troubleshooting/guide/isr4400trbl/isr4400trbl02.html but get the same result. I have done this before and never had a problem, now on the last three 4351 ISR's I am experiencing the same symptoms, not able to log in to exec mode

Any help is appreciated.

I suggest to open a new post referring this post and post complete boot log on the new post so we can understand what is the issue.
