Cisco Router 2901, Turn VPN into a Point to Point

Hello Everyone

I'm currently using VMware SRM for disaster recovery, I have an Server at our HQ site and and an backup at the DR site. For SRM to work, the HQ and DR site will need to be able to use the same ip + network configuration. If the HQ site is down, the DR site picks up.

We have a VPN connection between the sites. Unfortunately, VPN does let you use the same ip address. However Point to Point will let me use the same IP address.

I was wondering if it is possible to use a Cisco Router 2901 and turn a VPN in to a Point to Point like network where I can use the same ip like if the DR site server was connected to our LAN network?

If it is possible, can someone point me to the right direction on how to set it up?

Thanks

Configuring networks with duplicate address, no matter if VPN or not, is not a trivial task and should not be attempted by the end user.I recommend you to engage with reputable consultant, or certified Cisco partner for the task.
