Cisco Router 3945, Write Memory command not working

Goof Afternoon All,

I am using a Cisco 3945 Router, and when I 'Write Memory', the running config does not save to the flash.

I just updated to IOS version (3900-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.4(3)M8

Configuration Register is set to 0x2102

the command 'copy run start' also doesn't work, however

the command 'copy run flash:' does work, This is slightly inconvenient for when other people make changes and think they saved it.

How would I go about fixing this?

Hi,

I am not much familiar with this router but this command should be work.

Are you trying in Global configuration?

Are you trying "copy running-config startup-config"?

I am not sure where are you wrong? but please try those commands in "Privileged EXEC" mode only.

If you trying in any Configuration mode (as Global or subinterface etc) then must use "do" keyboard before the command.

Is there an error message that appears when this happens?  Or with you issue to command "wr mem" the process doesn't end?
