I'm currently learning CCNA, and I've reached a section where we need to perform a password recovery for the router. However, when I power off the router and then turn it back on, I've found that the shortcuts for accessing ROM Monitor (ROMMON) mode aren't working.
I've tried:
Ctrl-A followed by Ctrl-B
Holding down the space bar for 10 seconds
Ctrl-6
Could anyone suggest which keys I should use to access ROM Monitor (ROMMON) mode? Thank you!

It depends on what terminal software you are using. The link provided by @balaji.bandi has some great examples of terminal software and the corresponding key combination for sending BREAK to your device.
I always use Minicom which runs great on Ubuntu, VM or baremetal.
Hope this helps.
