I am currently studying for the CCNA exam and ran into this slow file transfer between the Router 1 and Router2.
I tested the 8 MB file transfer from PC#1 to PC#2 which goes across R1 and R2. The transfer rate is at 7.5KB per second.
I attached a diagram of the network.
Can someone give me some guideline where to troubleshoot?

Hi Wayne,
Did you check if if there are any errors on the router interfaces and PC NICs are with corect setting?
Thx

Hello Paolo,
The R2 is the DCE and set the clock rate of 64000.
I just set the clock rate R2 (DCE) to the maximum of 8000000.
I tested an 8 MByte file transfer over the serial link of R1 and R2.
It transfers average about 800KB - 1MB per second which the way it should be.
An 8MB file transfer between PC #1 and PC#2 is less than 5 seconds.
It did not realize the clock rate determine the speed...
In the class room, we also set the serial to 56000.
Thanks for the tip to resolve the issue I encounter...
