Cisco switch 3850-48P %SYS-2-INPUTQ: INPUTQ set, but no IDB, ptr=396ECA44 - Traceback

Hello,

I have a WS-3850-48P running SW Version 03.07.00.E and I noticed the following in the logs:

Jan 29 01:40:00.567 EST: %SYS-2-INPUTQ: INPUTQ set, but no IDB, ptr=396ECA44
-Traceback= 1#7824234920237968b4a0a56d95fed2f2 :54C26000+2783484 :54C26000+13A92D0 :54C26000+13412C8 :54C26000+134174C :54C26000+4681FAC

This log message is happening about every other day for about a month now. Not sure what it means. I use Cisco CLI Analyzer and collected System Diagnostics and it came back with one Danger - Software Defect: CSCux39490 - c3650/c3850 core 0 high /fed and fed-ots-main abnormal CPU Usage

I am not sure if that is related to what is going on on the switch or not. Does anybody have a clue what it means ?

Thank you in advance

na you dont need to RMA but you do need to upgrade look at the fixed releases in the bug output , it tells you which ones are fixed without this bug , the bug looks correct

Known Fixed Releases:
(5)
Denali-11.3.1
16.3(0.158)
15.2(3)E4
11.3(1)
3.7(4)E

Theres a few FED bugs in ios-xe platforms , did you try reload as the workaround suggested or an upgrade should permanently fix it

Forwarding Engine Driver (FED): This is the heart of the Cisco Catalyst 3850 Series Switch and is responsible for all hardware programming/forwarding.

More information:

#show processes cpu detailed:

Core 0: CPU utilization for five seconds: 100%; one minute: 89%; five minutes: 91%
Core 1: CPU utilization for five seconds: 17%; one minute: 17%; five minutes: 20%
Core 2: CPU utilization for five seconds: 1%; one minute: 5%; five minutes: 4%

Maybe its hitting the bug CSCux39490 ? If so, RMA the switch ?

Thanks

Great. Just want to make sure that what I see in the show logging is related to this bug or a different issue.

That is what I will be doing. Reboot first and if not then I will have to put a plan together for upgrade since we have about 800 of those switches here
