Solved: Compatibility between 7606 and 7609

A Chairde,

Was wondering can all cards in 7609 fit into 7606 Chassis ???

Sounds a bit thick , but as am buying one, I need to make 100% sure ...

Also any differences between chassis that I need to know .....

Assume if SUP Cards are same , the IOS versions will be same also, want to keep as standardized as possible....

Hi,

The 7606 gives you 480 Gbps of switching capacity while the 7609 gives you 720 Gbps of switching capacity.

You can inter-change all cards between them. You can run the same supervisors on them and they can run the same version of software.

All cards are usable in either chassis. The only difference is the number of slots the chassis can handle.
