I have a Cisco Router 881 with c880data-universalk9-mz.150-1.M7.bin IOS file. I want to upgrade to the latest IOS

c880data-universalk9-mz.152-4.M2.bin. But when I upload the file, it appears the message

The selected file c880data-universalk9-mz.152-4.M2.bin is not compatible with this router model.

Does anyone know what it is because?

Thanks in advance for helping me.

David Robles.

Please post 'show version' for your router and where the message appears.

Thanks Paolo for your answer. The result for show version is:

I use the Cisco Configuration Professional to upload the new file. When I try to upload apears the warning box saying:

The selected file c880data-universalk9-mz.152-4.M2.bin is not compatible with this router model. Do you want to continue copy operation?

Best regards,

David Robles.

Try using CLI.  The command is:  copy tftp:///filename.bin flash:

I can copy the file using CLI, but I am not sure that the file is compatible or not with my router. I have the possibility to copy with CCP, clicking Yes to the question "The selected file c880data-universalk9-mz.152-4.M2.bin is not compatible with this router model. Do you want to continue copy operation?"
