Configuring router DHCP pool with DNS

Hi all

I am configuring a DHCP router with two DNS servers but I cannot add more than one DNS address to the pool. Every instruction I find tells me to use the

dns-server 192.168.5.2 192.168.5.3

command but it gives an error. If I add one then add another separately the second entry overwrites the first. Here is a pic of the CLI.

Hello,

the problem is: Packet Tracer is an emulator with a lot of restrictions. The devices do not feature a full and complete IOS, but rather a subset of commands that let you accomplish certain things.

On a 'real' device this would work, but Packet Tracer only allows for one dns server.

Hello,

odd, as in theory, you should be able to add up to six DNS servers, in exactly the way you do. Which IOS version are you running ?

Here is the info from

sh version:

DHCP-SERVER>en
DHCP-SERVER#sh version

Is this on actual hardware or is this on some emulator?

Its installed on a Windows 10 pc. No VM or anything like that.

No emulator and I just added the pkt file to the OP if anyone wants to see it.

it should be just a string, try enclosing the two addresses in "quotes"

Quotes didn't work. Tried around each address and around both neither worked.

These devices do not have a full iOS
