Hi, imagine IOS image required size lists:
DRAM 256 / 64 Flash
Then show ver on my router 3825 lists the below.
Technically speaking the below should have the 64M flash required right? Why again it shows as 62592K and not 64000K?
Cisco 3825 (revision 1.0) with 487424K/36864K bytes of memory.
62592K bytes of ATA System CompactFlash (Read/Write)

According to most sources, there are 1,024 Bytes in a Kilobyte.
62,592 * 1,024 = 64,094,208 = 64 MB FLASH
Note that altough in reality 64 Megabyte is 67,108,864 bytes, flash manufacturers use 1,000,000 per MB, to make their device size sound larger than what they are.
