Connection between Routers by 1000Base-LX

Like below diagram, I am thinking to connect between Routers (Cisco 891F) by 1000Base-SX or LX because the distance between Routers is over 100m.

Question is :  Is it necessary to any special configuration for the interface of 1000Base-SX or LX? (e.g. level of signal or any other parameter).

Please don't use LX module if the distance is about 100m as there's a significant chance the optics of the modules will get "burnt".

Thank you very much, because distance is over 100m, optical module need to be used. (maybe 1000base-SX is enough)

Ideally, multi-mode fibre optic is sufficient.

MM fibre optic module is half the price of an LX.

Yes, I think so, thank you very much for your advice.

How much over 100m?

If just a tiny bit, copper might sill work.

How much over, and kind of fiber, will also determine optics needed. For example, SX supports 220m on 62.5 micro MMF and 550m on 50 micro MMF (OM2) or 1Km on 50 micro MMF (OM3).  LX supports 550m on MMF and 10Km on SMF.

Regarding configuration, that depends on the devices.  Sometimes you need to configure the device to use an optical port rather than a copper port.

BTW, can you use a "dumb" (4 port) gig switch between the two routers?  If so, each switch allows an extra 100m for your copper distance.  If you only need one such switch, might be less costly than moving to optics.

The distance would be bit over 100M, so will consider to use Copper too.

thank you very much for your detailed explanation about specification of fiber cable.

It is difficult to connect giga switch between C891F.

Something else you might try, since these are a pair of 891s, and as they really cannot support sustained gig, you might also try running a copper link at 100Mbps.

yes, I will try to do it. thank you  very much for your kind support.
