dc power for Cisco C1117-4PWA Chassis

Hi,

I have Cisco C1117-4PWA Chassis and it comes with external power supply ac/dc adaptor. I am wondering if it can be connected directly to dc power source(replacing external power supply adaptor it comes with) for the system power. Does that void my cisco warranty if I use Direct DC source for this router?

i would not advise that - rather you always use Input source adaptor come with device for better outcome.

Then how would I use this router  in a DC environment ? 

should I use an inverter on a DC site? or Cisco sells any kind of DC adaptors for these routers?

yes you need to have DC to AC PDU converter.
