delete Vlan.dat from cisco 4948 switch

hi,

when i tried to delete vlan.dat file i got the following messange.

%Error deleting cat4000_flash:cat4000_flash:vlan.dat (Permission denied)

what might be the problem.

i have read the above article , the problem is that when i issue the command "delete cat4000_flash:vlan.dat" it gives the following message.

%Error deleting cat4000_flash:vlan.dat (Permission denied)

"erase cat4000_flash: " command as advised by the link you received from Francisco1?

dont apply erase erase comand it will be a disaster. it erase ur flash file also

just reboot and put the command: boot system flash bootflash:cat4500-entservicesk9-mz.150-2.SG11.bin

bootflash:cat4500-entservicesk9-mz.150-2.SG11.bin its your IOS, maybe in your sw its other
