DHCP IP Conflict

Hello All,

I have 2 CE Routers as default gateway for our office LAN, both the routers are configured as DHCP servers for a VLAN subnet /26. There are around 40+ users in this VLAN and the subnet has 62 usable IPs. But still I am getting an IP conflict as 41st device is not getting an IP from DHCP server.

Can you please advice? there are around 12 IPs on the IP Conflict table.

Tks,

Raghavendra

Hello
you need to split that scope between the two servers so each server is allocating half of the scope and the other half is on standby or have one server in a standby state for the whole subnet.

Can you show the DHCP configuraiton and what IP address you getting conflict ?  how is your DHCP release timeout settings ?

62 usable means only can be useed 61 (1 IP go to Gateway)

show us he conflict IP Logs and show your DHCP config (is this in the router  ? or out of Router ?)
