we are using DHCP to assign IP address to users. Now the problem is: If user laptop just shut down and re-connect again, user still can get the IP; but if user bring their laptop home and connect with their home network(normally, they access home broadband router with also assign IP range 192.168.0.x/24), when they come back to office again, they cannot get IP address again, until we manunlly issue "ipconfig /release" and "ipconfig /renew".
May I know what is the root of the problem?
thanks

Pls check with the User whether he is bringing the Laptop to Office in Shutdown State / Hibernate State.
Becoz possibility is: In Hibernate state the Session will stay & Network card will look for the same range of IP Pool as in Home N/W.
You can also reserve the IP Address to the User based on MAC Address of the PC.
Pls Rate if Helps ! !
